Floors for Thought is an independent carpet and flooring supplier based in South West London.

We established Floors for Thought in 2004, after spotting a gap in the marketplace for an independent, unbiased retailer supplying an extensive range of floor coverings to suit all tastes and budgets.

We always have a wide selection of floor coverings on display at our shop on Battersea Rise, including natural fibre carpets, recycled carpet, rugs and wood and laminate flooring, as well as Amtico, vinyl and other easy-care alternatives. Click here to read more about our full range of products.

Whether you’re looking for cosy but hardwearing carpet for your living room, sustainable wood flooring for a home office or sumptuous yet stain-resistant carpeting for a hotel lobby, we’ll find the right solution for your needs.

As we work regularly with interior designers, we’re always up-to-date with current trends and new products coming onto the market.

We also support our local charity, the Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, by sponsoring three of their kennels and regularly donating redundant carpet samples for the cats to scratch and curl up on.

Our customers

While we work predominantly in the domestic market we also supply flooring for commercial and public sector clients. Past projects have included supplying and installing floor coverings for hairdressers, restaurants, pubs, bars, clubs and schools.

We're aware of the stringent health and safety regulations covering public buildings and have full public liability insurance.

Areas we cover

We supply and install flooring for clients across South West and Central London as well as Surrey, Berkshire, Hampshire, Sussex and Kent. With our Home Serve service we occasionally carry out work further afield.
